Name: Mrs. Shaheen Rasool Year: YR 4 Teacher & P.H.S.C.E. Co-Ordinator Info: Can be found decorating various parts of the school & the children!! Would like to have a part on extreme makeovers! Likes: Man United and Wrestling. Dislikes: Waiting in queue, and bad manners. Name: Miss Justine Fenton Year: YR 3 Teacher & Gifted & Talented Co-Ordinator Info: Frequently organises wonderful and exciting trips for Gifted & Talented children. You may also see her chatting in the staff room to other members of staff. Likes: Animals and shopping. Dislikes: People who don't listen! Name: Miss Mirza Year: YR 6 Teacher & Head of Year 6. Info: Miss Mirza is always extremely busy, but often manages to find time to dine with the children at lunch time, aswell as running a successful table tennis club. If you would like to join then just let her know. Likes: Mrs Mullorkey's school dinners, reading, surfing the internet and walking Dislikes: Marking practice SATs tests!! Name: Miss Marie Barlow Year: YR 4 Teacher Info: Miss Barlow's class can often be heard laughing down the corridor at her 'artistic' skills, although she promises she is trying her best. Miss Barlow spends some her lunch times, talking without words at the British Sign Language Club. Likes: Smiles, triers, liquorice and dancing. Dislikes: Sulky children and cheese. Co-ordinator Info: Always extremely busy round school organising a large variety of P.E. opportunities for the school aswell as many lunchtime and after school clubs. Likes: children who like to learn. Dislikes: Bad manners and children who are unkind to others. Name: Mrs Anne Thompson Year: Teaching Assistant - Yr. 3 Info: The birthday organiser, Mrs. Thompson makes sure all the staffs birthday's are remembered. A very important job. She also helps teach sign language. Likes: Exploring new towns and cities Dislikes: Early mornings, and her teenage daughters music. Name: Jill Cotter Year: Teaching Assistant - Yr. 4 Info: Another member of staff who teachers children the skill of sign language. Mrs Cotter, assists the year 4 teacher in both preparation and teaching. She also looks after the fish. Likes: Foreign travel, cross stitch, gardening (when the weather is nice) Dislikes: Cold weather, liver (urgh!), children who don't try first before asking for help. Name: Mrs Haigh Year: Teaching Assistant - Year 6. Info: Mrs Haigh, assists the year 6 teacher in both preparation and teaching, and helping out with anything else that needs doing. Likes: football, science fiction films & going out for meals Dislikes: bossy, moody people, cricket, tennis and nuts. Name: Mrs Hartley Year: YR 6 Teacher & R.E. Facilitator Info: Mrs Hartley can often be heard nagging the year 6 about SATs or busy marking SATs. She was in line for the England managers job, but couldn't get anyone to do her playground duties. Likes: watching Norwich City, Fartown and Huddersfield Town, OH!...and teaching…(Honest.) Dislikes: Flying, racists and bad loosers. Name: Miss Helen Virr Year: YR 4 Teacher & Music Co-Ordinator & Head of Year 4 Info: Miss Virr's busy school life includes organising and singing with the school choir, joining in with the recorder club, preparing for the next big musical happening, and of course, discussing football with Mrs. Hartley, or going to yet another meeting. Likes: Leeds United and Mrs Murlarkey's chicken Pie Dislikes: Tomatoes and football cheats. Name: Miss Taylor Year: YR 6 Teacher & ICT Co-Ordinator Info: Spends most of her time fixing yet another ICT blip in the exciting world of Technology; either a temperamental computer, or a problematic printer. Or teaching in Year 6. Likes: children, honesty, Chinese Food, Painting (the messier the better), Surfing the internet, animals, walking with her dog, jasper. Dislikes: Liars and swearing. Name: Sarah Coward Title: Trainee Teacher Info: Used to work as Family Literacy Worker within the EIC team, this year will be starting her teaching practice in year 3, with the help of Mrs Plowman Likes: Take that and nice food Dislikes: Anything to do with eyes! Name: Bev Taylor aka 'Bev the Bip' Info: Usually found outside in all weathers tidying up the playground equipment. A very unwelcome sight after lunchtime, brandishing 'yellow cards'. Lives with Mrs Rhode & Mrs Bullock in community resource room, also founder of the 'Drop in Zone'. Likes: Hot sunny days sitting in the garden with a book and a cold drink Dislikes: Hot sunny day in term time! Name: Emma Plowman Year: Year 3 Teacher - Head of Year 3 Info: Can be found working hard in the year 3 corridor of teaching French Club. Likes: Visiting new places Dislikes: Unkindness, mornings and driving in the snow. Name: Carolyn Mann Year: Year 3 teacher - Numeracy Co-Ordinator Info: Marking Books and working on her computer seem to take up most of her time. Likes: Chocolate, cups of tea, setting hard maths problems. Name: Miss Brown Year: Year 5 teacher - Art Co-Ordinator Info: Can usually be found disappearing under a mass of paper, glue and paint in the art cupboard, or in her classroom getting creative! Likes: Art and Gardening Dislikes: Football!! Name: Julie Rhode Title: Learning Mentor Info: Julie works all over the school, helping children and especially serving fruit at 'Tuck Shop' at play time. Julie works with the rest of the EIC team with the community resources room. Likes: Indian food, chocolate and Craft Activities. Dislikes: Spiders Name: Mrs Angela Gledhill Title: Deputy Head Teacher & Assessment Co-Ordinator Info: Always busy round school, especially at dinner times ensuring the children are eating healthy. We got the Healthy Schools Award long before Jamie Oliver got involved. Angela is also well known for her rendition of 'Is this the way to Amarillo?' and pushing her 'trendy' trolly around school. On a serious note, Angela is responsible for ensuring children do lots of tests, so they will do their very best and be the 'super brains' of the future. Likes: Strictly come dancing & The Bill! Chocolate, reading, gardening, going on big ships and researching family history. Dislikes: Scary films, mice, spicy food, traffic jams, Big Brother, cruelty and violence. |
