Welcome to Crosland Moor Junior School

Crosland Moor Junior School is a large multicultural junior school of 358 pupils that is considered by the LEA to be an excellent school. The school is situated in a semi rural area of Huddersfield and provides an excellent learning environment with extensive facilities.

The building is of an early sixties flat roofed design and has undergone extensive refurbishment due to the school being part of the PPP project and also my belief in the importance of a quality learning environment.

The catchment area of the school is rich and diverse, 69% of children from ethnic minority groups and 31% being of mixed socio economic background. I see this as strength of the school.

There are 14 classes and consequently the school has a large staff incorporating class teachers. EMA teachers and a large classroom support team.

The school is part of the Excellence in Clusters project which brings many advantages and enhancements into our school. This all results in a highly skilled, highly motivated staff. Crosland Moor Junior School is happy, vibrant, effective and successful school. Both HMI and Ofsted have recently said so.
